About
Ever since I was little, I always took a keen interest in computers. When my parents got a massive desktop computer, you could bet money that no matter the time of day I was on it. I spend most of my time playing video games and exploring the different types of software that were available at that time. As I grew older, my hobbies and interests changed, but I still had some of the same passion for computers as I did when I was younger.
It wasn’t till college were I genuinely started to consider pursuing a career in software engineering. I attended Salisbury University where I initial thought I wanted to be an accountant. After losing a bet to my dad which ended up with me making the swim team at school (yeah and I lost $100 too 🤣) did I start to think about doing Computer Science. After swimming only one year I continued to work through my accounting degree but found that it became less and less interesting. Come junior year, while studying abroad in Estonia, I decided to completely switch majors and pursue Computer Science. I knew I made the right choice cause while I was still struggling at the same level I did when I was in accounting, I enjoyed the struggle and looked forwarded to being challenged.
Skip forward, I am working at a startup called Rose AI , still grinding through solutions to problems while also finding the time to balance surfing and my other hobbies.
